Forklift Site Operative

Job Description

Forklift Site Operative Wanted with the ability to deal with daily maintenance working Monday-Friday from 7am to 5pm based in Cullompton. The pay rate is £12.50 per hour and is a temporary to permanent role where training and support is provided, company pension, onsite parking, performance based bonus.

Counterbalance Forklift experience and your own transport is required to apply for this position.

Wise Employment are looking for an experienced Forklift Site Operative who can operate Forklift and Baling machines.

You will be working within a small team to monitor and operate plant equipment, where you will be responsible for maintaining safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations which will include;

• Baling Operations: Overseeing and managing the baling machine to efficiently process materials.
• Drying Product: Ensuring the proper drying of products as per quality standards.(Training will be provided for this function)
• Maintaining the general tidiness and cleanliness of the site to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Heavy Machinery Operation: Proficiently using JCBs and forklifts for various operational tasks.
• Routine Maintenance: Conducting routine inspections and performing repairs as needed to ensure equipment and machinery are in optimal condition.
• Plant Assistance: Collaborating with Plant Operators and providing support when necessary, assisting with boiler cleans, and responding to alarms in a responsible, timely and organised manner
• Adherence to operational SOPs and Health and Safety procedures

Ideal Candide for this Forklift Site Operative position will have following skills:

• Proficient in operating JCBs and forklifts. (Practical knowledge and can do attitude)
• Committed to adhering to safety protocols, especially when working at heights or in confined spaces during shutdowns.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Proactive, flexible, and adaptable

Essential Experience:

• Forklift driving experience
• Manual handling practical experience
• Materials handling practical experience
